Foot Pain Ankle pain due to accident, trained proper balance "I attended my first workshop
one week out of a cast from a broken ankle. I could not walk, stand or even sit
for an hour without great pain. I planned to sit on the sideline and listen. I
walked for two hours that day and never knew I was on my feet. I believe the balance
and weight distribution was the key. My recovery soared from that day on. I've
been able to lose 30 pounds."
Heel pain corrected by reducing overstriding and the impact of heel strike "I
was able to relieve pain in my heels that I had been experiencing for many years
whenever I walked. I was amazed to discover that how I was walking created the
problem."
Bunion pain corrected by proper pushoff "The
bunion on my right big toe joint no longer hurts after consciously changing my
walk, using the inside of my right foot properly as well as all the toes to push
off."
Drop foot, reduced by increasing hip rotation "Ever since the car accident, I was unable to walk without scuffing the ground.
This new hip twist allows me to plant my foot without scraping."
Right heel spur, car accidents, remedied by reducing overstriding and the impact of heel strike "I never realized I step further out and hit harder
on my right foot, and that my left arm pumps much further forward than my right."
Knee Pain Knee pain decreased through corrected alignment "I have had problems with my knees in
trekking and difficult terrain. After two sessions of Dynamic Walking I was able
to ascend and descend the Tetons (11,000 feet) pain free while carrying a pack.
I had hiked seven miles the day before and 15 miles the day after. Dynamic Walking
is the ambulatory equivalent of flossing."
Corrected locking of knee in stance and pushoff phase, brought feet parallel "After having knee pain for several months, one session in corrective walking
helped me to eliminate the pain in one day."
Knee pain due to cartilage damage, remedied by reducing impact "My physician
diagnosed my badly swollen knee as bursitis, arthritis and tendonitis. He implied
that since the body could not replace the cartilage I had worn away, that running
was no longer an option. I was deeply grieved. Dynamic Walking helped me walk
without my knee buckling and collapsing. Eventually I proceeded to the Dynamic
Hiking training and then to Dynamic Running. I'm running regularly without pain.

Car accidents, pain reduction included not locking knees when standing "My right knee, which was the focal point of contact
in three car accidents, hurt so badly that some nights I could not sleep without
prescription pain killers. The Dynamic Walking therapy is retraining my body to
become more efficient in motion and in stillness. I have come to classes in pain
and left euphoric. I have been able to complete 11 mile hikes with no knee pain.
I walk regularly using the method."
Leg Pain Hamstring pull, reduction of pain through balanced use of legs "During my first
marathon I developed a hamstring pull which continued to be a problem in my second
marathon and whenever I walk or hike. The observation walk during my first session
taught me how to re-balance my power in my legs and arms. The pain decreased within
the first 1/2 hour and did not return on subsequent walks or during a 6 mile hike
the two days later."
Back and Hip Pain Chronic back pain, reduced through improved postural alignment "Now that
I've learned to move efficiently and naturally improve my posture, I feel wonderful.

the last thirty years I have never been able to go through the day without pain.
After three private sessions, I have no pain when I walk Dynamically and do my
DBX stretches daily. I had tried everything. This is working. I am back in control
of my life."
Hip pain following two hip replacements, severe limp corrected by re balancing strength and training pendulum swing "I'm
thrilled, It's like suddenly the sun came out. Let there be light."
Chronic back and hip pain decreased by postural improvement. "I'm standing
and sitting taller. I've learned enough in three months to get back to running
virtually pain free."
General Body Pain Chronic knee and spinal pain reduced by gait and postural training "For
30 years I had suffered daily pain from old sports related breaks of neck and
back, as well as damage to sacrum and ACL of left knee. To manage the pain required
45 minutes of daily stretching. During the Dynamic Walking Introductory Clinic
the pain went away. In a few months Dynamic Walking retrained my body sufficiently
to be pain free (for the past 5 years).
Overuse injuries remedied by gait and postural training "Five years of chronic
knee, hip and upper back pain caused by excessive running led me to Dynamic Walking
