Judy's Story Freedom from neck and low back pain
- a return to sports Judy was an athletic young woman whose sports
injuries failed to heal. Her neck and low back pain became so persistent, she
had to stop running. Diversifying her sports didn't help. She "begrudgingly" came
to a Dynamic Walking training in 1993. She remained with the program through 1998,
proceeding from a student to a Senior Trainer and Coordinator of the Teacher Training
Programs.
The photo on the left (1981) is the Judy's
body before Dynamic Movement training showing a typical S curve with forward head
and accentuated kyphotic (upper back) and lordotic (low back) curves. The photo
on the right (1998) shows Judy's improved postural alignment. Judy's spinal x-rays in 1991 of her pelvis and
lower back vertebrae show lordosis or sway back. X-rays in 1996 of the same area
reveal less curvature and repositioning of her sacrum. Dynamic Movement training
was the only therapy used. Judy was able to return to tri-athelete training pain
free.
